1
Place frosting or marshmallow creme on a small plate and spread into a circle just larger than the rim of your mugs. Place candy sprinkles on another small plate. Invert first mug and dip rim into frosting or marshmallow creme to create a thick “glue”. Then dip rim into sprinkles. Repeat with second mug. Set mugs aside.
2
Combine softened butter, dark brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice. Mix until well combined. Place 2 tablespoons of this mixture into each mug. (Reserve remaining mixture to make more; see Tips below.) Add 2 ounces of pumpkin pie liqueur to each mug and stir to dissolve the brown sugar mixture.
3
Add 1 cup of hot coffee to each mug and stir. Add a cinnamon stir-stick and serve immediately.
Expert Tips
- The remaining brown sugar mixture can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a week. When ready to use, warm in microwave on half power just until mixture is soft and pliable again.
